The founders of Rx Therapy are registered professionals with a thirst to use innovative approaches to injury prevention and treatment.

Mission

Rx Therapy aims to use a combination of traditional and innovative treatment techniques to enable a rapid return to health following injury.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are trained in a wide range of assessment, treatment and management approaches. The scope of practice of physiotherapy covers neurological disease and injury, respiratory conditions, and working with elderly and sporting populations. Sport Rehabilitation

Graduate Sport rehabilitators (GSR) are skilled in musculoskeletal injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, as well as advanced exercise therapy and immediate trauma care. For more information on the specific role of a GSR please visit: www.basrat.org

Injury assessment

Pre-habilitation/Strength and Conditioning programs

Treatment techniques including:

Manual Therapy - ‘hands on’ techniques such as joint mobilisations

Cryotherapy - use of ice and compression to reduce pain and swelling

Heat Therapy - use of heat to relieve stiffness and pain

Electrotherapy - stimulation of soft tissues to assist healing

Massage - soft tissue mobilisation to aid circulation and well being

Exercise Prescription - exercises to enable self management of injury
